Pipeline internal drag reductioncoatings
KF-PI100 Pipe Internal Drag Reduction Coating
KF-PI100 pipeline internal drag reduction coating uses epoxy resin and special leveling additives as base materials to form an ultra-smooth coating on the inner wall of pipelines. The coating surface roughness Rz is less than 5 microns, greatly reducing fluid transportation friction resistance. It can reduce pipeline transportation energy consumption by more than 15% or increase transportation volume at the same pump pressure. Passes API RP 5L2 pipeline internal coating standard. Widely used for internal wall drag reduction coating of natural gas / crude oil / refined oil / water and ore slurry long-distance pipelines.
ProductsOverview
Pipeline internal drag reduction coating is a high-performance professional coating product developed and produced by KeXin New Material. Widely used in industrial manufacturing, architectural decoration, automotive transportation and other fields.
KeXin New Material, as a source coating factory, strictly implements the ISO9001 quality management system for pipeline internal drag reduction coating from formula design, raw material procurement to production and filling. Products have passed ROHS, REACH and other environmental regulation certifications. Provides free sample testing and on-site guidance services by technical engineers.
Why choose pipeline internal drag-reduction coatings?
CoreAdvantages
Ultra-smooth surface · Rz<5微米
Special leveling additives and low-viscosity formula coating self-levels to form a mirror-grade smooth surface. Surface roughness Rz less than 5 microns, Ra less than 1 micron. The friction coefficient of fluid on the coating surface is reduced by more than 50%, greatly reducing turbulent energy loss. Natural gas pipeline transportation efficiency is significantly improved.
Drag reduction and energy saving · 15% energy saving
The drag reduction effect of the coating has been verified by actual measurements at the CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute and the Sinopec Pipeline Research Institute. Natural gas pipeline transportation energy consumption is reduced by more than 15%, or transportation capacity increases by 10-15% at the same pressure. Calculated over a 20-year pipeline operation cycle, the energy-saving benefit is 10-20 times the coating investment.
API RP 5L2 certified · dedicated for pipelines
Produced in accordance with the API RP 5L2 recommended practice standard for internal pipeline coatings. Coating adhesion greater than 12MPa, does not peel off after long-term immersion. Resistant to pipeline operation chemicals such as methanol/ethylene glycol/corrosion inhibitors/hydrogen sulfide. Designed service life greater than 30 years, the same service life as the pipeline.

Frequently AskedQuestions
ApplicationProcess
Surface preparation
Clean substrates thoroughly of oil and rust. Blast steel to Sa2.5. Pre-treat per product spec to keep the substrate clean. Ambient 5-40°C, relative humidity<85%。
Primer / pre-treatment
Select the matching primer or pre-treatment per substrate and system. Mix strictly at the stated ratio and control DFT. Proceed after the primer dries; pre-stripe critical areas.
Main-coat application
Apply the main coat per the process spec, strictly controlling DFT, temperature/humidity and flash-off to keep the film uniform without sagging or pinholes.
Curing process
Bake or air dry at room temperature until fully cured according to product requirements. Maintain a uniform oven temperature (±5°C) and gradually increase the temperature to avoid coating defects. For room temperature curing, ensure adequate ventilation and suitable humidity.
Inspection & acceptance
We test all indicators including film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color difference, and chemical resistance. We conduct comprehensive performance testing according to relevant standards. After all tests pass, we issue a test report and quality assurance certificate, and ship the product in dust-free packaging.
