Waterborne Inorganic Zinc-RichPrimer
KF-WS100 Water-Based Inorganic Zinc Primer
KF-WS100 Waterborne Inorganic Zinc-Rich Primer uses waterborne ethyl silicate as the base material, reacting and curing with ultrafine zinc powder (>80%) to form an inorganic zinc silicate coating. The waterborne system is zero-VOC and environmentally friendly. The coating withstands salt spray for more than 3000h and temperatures up to 400 degrees. Dual anti-rust mechanism of cathodic protection + barrier protection. Widely used for environmentally friendly anti-corrosion coating in C5-grade severe corrosion environments such as bridges/offshore wind power/ships/marine engineering.
ProductsOverview
Waterborne Inorganic Zinc-Rich Primer is a heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating designed by KeXin New Material in accordance with ISO 12944 standards. It is scientifically formulated with high-quality resins and high-performance anti-rust pigments, offering excellent anti-corrosion performance and adhesion. Widely used for protective coating in heavy-duty anti-corrosion fields such as steel structures, bridges, petrochemicals, and ships.
The product has passed rigorous salt spray testing (>1000h) and adhesion testing (>5MPa), and with a complete base-intermediate-topcoat system, it can provide long-lasting protection for 15-25 years. Kexin provides free coating design solutions and technical support services.
Why choose a water-based inorganic zinc-rich primer?
CoreAdvantages
Zinc Content >80% · Dual Protection
Ultra-fine spherical zinc powder content greater than 80% ensures tight packing and electrical contact between zinc particles. The coating simultaneously provides cathodic protection (sacrificial anode) and barrier protection, a dual anti-rust mechanism. Salt spray resistance greater than 3000h is 1.5 times that of epoxy zinc-rich. It is the primer with the strongest anti-rust performance in heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating systems.
Waterborne Zinc Silicate · Zero VOC
The waterborne ethyl silicate system uses water as solvent and reaction medium. Zero VOC and zero organic solvents make it an environmentally friendly alternative to solvent-based inorganic zinc-rich. Its curing mechanism differs from waterborne epoxy, relying on hydrolysis and polycondensation of ethyl silicate to form a film with stronger adhesion.
Resistant to 400 degrees · High Temperature Compatible
The inorganic zinc silicate coating withstands temperatures up to 400 degrees. It is fully compatible with silicone high-temperature topcoats and thermal spray aluminum/zinc coating systems. Suitable as a primer for high-temperature equipment such as high-temperature pipelines/chimneys/incinerators, as well as for sealing and repairing thermal spray coatings.
Professional coating technology support services
Kexin has an experienced coating R&D and application team providing full-process support — from substrate analysis, coating selection and process-parameter optimization to on-site application guidance.

Frequently AskedQuestions
ApplicationProcess
Surface preparation
Clean substrates thoroughly of oil and rust. Blast steel to Sa2.5. Pre-treat per product spec to keep the substrate clean. Ambient 5-40°C, relative humidity<85%。
Primer / pre-treatment
Select the matching primer or pre-treatment per substrate and system. Mix strictly at the stated ratio and control DFT. Proceed after the primer dries; pre-stripe critical areas.
Main-coat application
Apply the main coat per the process spec, strictly controlling DFT, temperature/humidity and flash-off to keep the film uniform without sagging or pinholes.
Curing process
Bake or air dry at room temperature until fully cured according to product requirements. Maintain a uniform oven temperature (±5°C) and gradually increase the temperature to avoid coating defects. For room temperature curing, ensure adequate ventilation and suitable humidity.
Inspection & acceptance
We test all indicators including film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color difference, and chemical resistance. We conduct comprehensive performance testing according to relevant standards. After all tests pass, we issue a test report and quality assurance certificate, and ship the product in dust-free packaging.
