KF-WI300 Water-Based Alkyd Paint
KF-WI300 waterborne alkyd coating uses waterborne alkyd resin emulsion as the base, is zero-VOC, and uses water as the thinner. The coating dries quickly, has excellent adhesion, and provides rust prevention performance comparable to solvent-based alkyd paint. It is widely used for environmentally friendly rust-preventive coating of general industrial steel structures, mechanical equipment, and metal products. It is an ideal waterborne alternative to solvent-based alkyd paint.

Waterborne alkyd resin achieves water dispersibility by introducing hydrophilic groups (-COOH/-SO3H). The drying mechanism is water evaporation + oxidative crosslinking (the same as solvent-based alkyd). The coating's rust prevention performance is comparable to solvent-based alkyd paint, with salt spray >240h. It is the most direct waterborne alternative to solvent-based alkyd paint.

Preparo de superfície
Thoroughly clean the substrate to remove oil, rust, and oxide scale. Sandblast steel to Sa2.5 grade. Perform surface pretreatment according to product requirements to ensure the substrate is clean. Ambient temperature 5-40°C, relative humidity<85%。
Primer application
Selecione o primer adequado ao sistema e ao substrato. Misture rigorosamente na proporção indicada e controle a espessura do filme. Prossiga após a secagem do primer. Pré-reforce áreas críticas.
Aplicação da camada principal
Carry out the main coating application according to process requirements. Strictly control construction parameters such as film thickness/environmental temperature and humidity/flash-off time. Ensure the coating is uniform and consistent with no sagging or pinholes. Manually pre-coat complex areas to ensure full coverage.
Curing process
Bake or air dry at room temperature until fully cured according to product requirements. Maintain a uniform oven temperature (±5°C) and gradually increase the temperature to avoid coating defects. For room temperature curing, ensure adequate ventilation and suitable humidity.
Inspection and Acceptance
Test film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color difference, chemical resistance, and other indicators. Conduct comprehensive performance testing according to relevant standards. Upon successful completion of all tests, issue a test report and quality assurance certificate, and ship in dust-free packaging.
