KF-AW100 thermal spray aluminum wire is drawn from 99.5% high-purity aluminum. It is used in arc spraying processes where molten aluminum particles impact the steel surface at high speed to form a TSA coating. It offers over 30 years of marine protection at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius. Manufactured according to the Norwegian marine engineering standard NORSOK M-501.

Aluminum wire is produced from P1020 grade electrolytic aluminum through a continuous casting, rolling, and drawing process. The aluminum content is greater than 99.5%, and the impurity content is extremely low, ensuring the density and corrosion resistance of the TSA coating. Arc spraying ensures smooth wire feeding without wire breakage.

TSA coating - standard equipment on offshore platforms

The thermally sprayed aluminum TSA coating is a fire-resistant and corrosion-resistant coating system for offshore platforms as specified in the Norwegian marine engineering standard NORSOK M-501. It can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius and marine atmospheric corrosion for more than 30 years. It has been practically verified for over 40 years on hundreds of offshore platforms in the North Sea.

ISO 2063 standard certification

Manufactured according to ISO 2063 thermal spray aluminum coating standard. Forms a complete TSA coating system when used with low-viscosity epoxy or silicone sealing varnish. Available in various diameters of 1.6/2.0/2.5/3.0/3.17mm to meet the needs of different spraying equipment.

Surface treatment

Thoroughly clean the substrate to remove oil and rust. Sandblast steel to Sa2.5 grade. Perform surface pretreatment according to product requirements to ensure substrate cleanliness. Ambient temperature 5-40°C, relative humidity...<85%。

Primer/Pretreatment

Select a suitable primer or pretreatment based on the substrate and product system. Strictly control film thickness by mixing according to the product ratio. Proceed to the next process after the primer has dried. Apply a reinforcing pre-coat to critical areas.

Main coating application

Apply the main coating according to the process requirements. Strictly control application parameters such as film thickness, ambient temperature and humidity, and flash-off time. Ensure a uniform coating free of runs and pinholes.

Curing process

Bake or air dry at room temperature until fully cured according to product requirements. Maintain a uniform oven temperature (±5°C) and gradually increase the temperature to avoid coating defects. For room temperature curing, ensure adequate ventilation and suitable humidity.

Inspection and Acceptance

We test all indicators including film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color difference, and chemical resistance. We conduct comprehensive performance testing according to relevant standards. After all tests pass, we issue a test report and quality assurance certificate, and ship the product in dust-free packaging.
