TDS Technical Data Sheet – High Temperature Resistant Silver Paint KF-HS100

Technical Data Sheet · Heat-resistant aluminium paint · KF-HS100

Product code: KF-HS100 Product series: Silicone heat-resistant coatings Version: 1.0 Date of issue: 2026-11-01

1. Product Description

KF-HS100 heat-resistant aluminium flake paint is a heat-resistant coating based on a silicone resin binder with a floating aluminium paste pigment. During film formation the aluminium flakes float to the coating surface and orient into a continuous aluminium reflective layer that reflects 60-80% of sunlight and thermal radiation, markedly reducing the surface temperature of the coated object under sunlight (a drop of 5-15°C) and extending coating life. At the same time the aluminium layer works synergistically with the silicone resin at high temperature to form a ceramified protective layer. Temperature resistance 200-500°C (silver). Combining heat resistance and heat reflection, it is a high-efficiency energy-saving protective coating for hot piping, storage tanks and roofs.

2. Typical Applications

High-temperature piping and storage tanks in refineries / chemical plants (with combined anti-corrosion, thermal insulation and heat reflection); outer walls of oil / solvent storage tanks (heat reflection lowers temperature and reduces breathing loss); metal roofs / industrial plant roofing (heat-reflective thermal insulation and energy saving); external protective layer for LNG / cold-insulation piping.

4. Application Guide

Surface preparation

Thoroughly clean the substrate surface to remove oil and rust. Abrasive-blast steel to Sa2.5 (ISO 8501-1) with 40-75μm surface profile. Concrete substrate moisture content must be below 6%, grind to remove laitance. For old coatings, remove loose areas and roughen the surface.

Mixing / compounding

According to the mix ratio indicated on the product label, add the hardener (component B) slowly to the base (component A) and mechanically stir for 3-5 minutes until uniform. Let stand to mature for 10-15 minutes before use. Use up within the specified pot life after mixing.

Application method

Recommended air spray (gun orifice 1.5-2.0 mm, pressure 0.4-0.6 MPa) or airless spray (nozzle 0.38-0.53 mm, pressure 15-25 MPa). Small areas may be brushed or rolled. Keep each coat dry film thickness within the specified range.

Curing conditions

Self-cures at ambient temperature (23°C) provided relative humidity meets requirements. Do not apply under low temperature (<5°C) or high humidity (>85%). Conduct performance testing only after full cure.
