Wm Water Mio – TDS
1. Product Description
Wm Water Mio(a high-performance industrial coating based on acrylic/alkyd/epoxy/polyurethane resin systems as film former, with titanium dioxide, iron oxide pigments, organic pigments and functional fillers as functional fillers, and xylene, butyl acetate and propylene glycol methyl ether acetate as solvent system).(The product complies with the requirements of HG/T / GB / ISO and related standards, and is suitable for protective and decorative coating of metal/non-metal substrates such as industrial equipment, steel structures and pipelines).
2. Basic physicochemical parameters
| Item | Parameters | Testing standard |
|---|---|---|
| Coating type | Two-component / single-component industrial coating | - |
| Color and appearance | Complies with the color-card standard; the film is flat and smooth | Visual / ISO 2813:2014 |
| Volume solids content | 55-65% | ISO 3233:1998 |
| Density (after mixing, 20°C) | 1.1-1.6 g/cm³ | ISO 2811-1:2016 |
| Viscosity (after mixing, 25°C) | 80-110 KU | GB/T 9269-2009 |
| Flash point (closed cup) | >23 °C (closed cup) | ISO 3679:2022 |
| VOC content | <420 g/L | GB 30981-2020 Annex A |
3. Application Parameters
| Item | Parameters | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Mix ratio (by weight) | One-component or two-component (per product label) | Precise weighing required |
| Pot life @23°C | 4-8 hours @23°C | significantly shortened by rising temperature |
| Induction time (sweat-in time) | 15–30 minutes (23 °C) | extended to 30-45 min at low temperature |
| Recommended dry film thickness (DFT) | 30-60 μm/coat | Excessive thickness risks cracking/pinholes |
| Thinner | Dedicated thinner | Gasoline/turpentine must NOT be used |
| Thinning ratio | 0–10% (by weight) | Airless spray usually requires no thinning |
| Application temperature | 5-40°C | Substrate temperature ≥ dew point +3 °C |
| Relative humidity | <85% | High humidity causes amine blush/whitening |
4. Drying Time and Curing
| temperature | Dry to touch | Hard dry | Minimum recoat interval | Maximum recoat interval |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5°C | 3h | 48h | 48h | 14d |
| 10°C | 2h | 24h | 24h | 10d |
| 23°C | ≤1h | ≤24h | 8h | 7d |
| 35°C | ≤30min | ≤8h | 4h | 3d |
5. Coating Performance Indicators
| Test items | Technical Data | Testing standard |
|---|---|---|
| Adhesion | ≥3-5 MPa | ISO 4624:2016 / ISO 2409:2020 |
| Impact resistance | ≥50 kg·cm | GB/T 1732-2020 |
| Flexibility | ≤2 mm (mandrel bend) | GB/T 1731-2020 |
| Salt spray resistance | ≥500-1,000h | ISO 9227:2022(NSS) |
