Product No.: KF-HF100 Standard: GB 14907 | GB 28375 | GB 12441 | GA 98 Version: V2.0 Date: 2026-06-21
I. Pre-application preparation — Substrate inspection and treatment

1Substrate inspection and preparation standard

Preparation standard:Abrasive-blast steel to grade Sa2.0–2.5 (ISO 8501-1)

Roughness requirement:per product requirements

Cleanliness requirement:Free of oil/grease and rust

Primer application:A compatible anti-corrosion (rust-proof) primer must be applied first.

2Paint preparation and mixing

Mixing method:Stir thoroughly with a power agitator until uniform and free of sediment.

Pot life:The two-component product must be used up within the specified time.

Thinning:Add a small amount of clean water (waterborne) or the dedicated thinner (solventborne) as required.

3Environmental condition check

Application temperature:5-35°C

Relative humidity:relative humidity ≤85%

drying:Apply the next coat only after each coat has dried through.

II. Application procedure — Selection of coating method
Application methodProcess parametersApplicable scenarios
trowel application — Thick-film (heavy-coat) fireproof coating for steel structures
Spray coating Funnel-feed (hopper) spray gun, pressure 0.4–0.6 MPa Large-area application
Roller coating — Thin-film / decorative-type fireproof coating

Coating thickness control:Apply in multiple coats, each coat built up to the thickness required by the product. Thick-film type: ≤ 8 mm per coat; thin-film type: ≤ 0.5 mm per coat. Build up to the design thickness.

4. Safety and environmental requirements
⚠ PPE required: dust mask + safety goggles + gloves + safety shoes
⚠ Wear a safety harness for work at height.
⚠ Water-based products offer better safety; solvent-borne types require ventilation.
5. Quality inspection and acceptance criteria
Inspection itemsInspection methodAcceptance criteria
Dry film thickness Coating thickness gauge Meets the specified value, no negative tolerance
Bond strength Pull-off method ≥0.15MPa
Appearance Visual No cracking, hollowing or delamination
Fire performance fire-resistance rating test Meets the designed fire-resistance rating (h)
Prepared on the basis of:GB 14907 | GB 28375 | GB 12441 | GA 98 and relevant industry standards.
