Outdoor thick-film fire protection of steel structurescoatings
KF-HF100 Thick-Film Fireproof Coating
KF-HF100 outdoor thick-film steel structure fireproof coating is based on cement and expanded vermiculite perlite with added fireproof fibers. The coating thickness is 20-40mm and is sprayed onto the steel structure surface. Tested according to the ISO 834 standard heating curve, the fire resistance limit is greater than 3 hours. As an A1-class non-combustible material, it is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor steel structures. It is widely used for passive fire protection of sports venues, airports, exhibition centers, high-rise buildings, and petrochemical steel structures.
ProductsOverview
Outdoor thick-film steel structure fireproof coating is a special fireproof coating developed by KeXin New Material. Designed according to GB 14907 and ISO 834 standards, the coating expands in a fire to form a dense carbonized layer, effectively blocking heat conduction and buying valuable time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue.
The product has passed national fire protection 3C certification and UL international certification, with fire resistance limit of 1-3 hours. Suitable for steel structures, concrete structures, cables and other buildings and industrial facilities requiring passive fire protection.
Why choose outdoor thick-film steel structure fireproof coating?
CoreAdvantages
3-hour fire resistance · ISO 834
The 40mm thick coating has a fire resistance limit greater than 3 hours according to the ISO 834 standard fire heating curve. Under a 1000-degree flame, the steel structure surface temperature is kept within 538 degrees (the critical failure temperature of steel) for 3 hours. This wins valuable time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue.
Outdoor durability · A1 non-combustible
The cement and mineral material system is A1-class non-combustible. It resists rain, freezing, ultraviolet radiation, and other outdoor climatic conditions without chalking or peeling for a long time. Its adhesion with steel structure anti-rust primer is greater than 0.1MPa. The outdoor service life is greater than 20 years.
Hydrocarbon fire · dedicated for petrochemicals
The formula is optimized for hydrocarbon fires in petrochemicals and other industries (faster heating and higher temperatures). Tested according to the UL 1709 hydrocarbon fire heating curve, the fire resistance limit is greater than 2 hours. It meets the special fire protection needs of petrochemical plants, offshore platforms, liquefied natural gas facilities, and more.

Frequently AskedFAQ
ApplicationProcess
Surface preparation
Clean substrates thoroughly of oil and rust. Blast steel to Sa2.5. Pre-treat per product spec to keep the substrate clean. Ambient 5-40°C, relative humidity<85%。
Primer / pre-treatment
Select the matching primer or pre-treatment per substrate and system. Mix strictly at the stated ratio and control DFT. Proceed after the primer dries; pre-stripe critical areas.
Main-coat application
Apply the main coat per the process spec, strictly controlling DFT, temperature/humidity and flash-off to keep the film uniform without sagging or pinholes.
Curing process
Cure fully by stoving or by ambient air drying as the product requires. Keep oven temperature uniform within ±5°C and ramp up gradually to avoid coating defects. For ambient-curing grades, ensure adequate ventilation and suitable humidity.
Inspection & acceptance
Inspect all parameters: dry film thickness, adhesion, gloss, colour difference and chemical resistance. Full performance testing is carried out against the relevant standards. Only after everything passes are the test report and warranty issued, and the goods are packed and shipped in dust-free conditions.
